Employ-Ability 2009 Networking Event Wrap Up

The BC Employ-Ability program recently held its first networking event for past participants of the program. The purpose of the event was to provide a venue for job seekers with disabilities to build a network with other employment seekers and to learn about topics that support personal growth. It was also a great chance for those who have lost touch with the Neil Squire Society to get back in touch and explore other service options.

Keynote speaker Julie Jaggernath (new window) from The Credit Counseling Society (new window) , spoke about the services they offer and personal credit management. The topic was very well received by everyone in attendance.

Special thanks go out to the following for their donation of refreshments: Save-on-Foods (Madison Centre) (new window) , Canterbury Coffee Corporation (new window) , Tim Hortons (new window) , Canon Ink. Management (new window) , Nana’s Kitchen and Hot Sauces (new window) , and Indian Life Food Corporation (new window).
