Farm Credit Canada Funds Assistive Technology Toolkit

Neil Squire Society will be assembling an Assistive Technology (AT) toolkit that will empower people with disabilities in Regina, SK, thanks to funding from the FCC Regina Spirit Fund (new window).

The AT toolkit will contain a variety of assistive technologies such as alternative mice and keyboards, voice recognition software, screen reading software, and voice output systems. Participants will be able to trial the AT to determine what may or may not work for them. Training will also be provided to ensure participants have long terms success utilizing the AT.

The toolkit will allow the Society’s AT specialists to collaborate with occupational therapists, speech pathologists, social workers, and teachers to help individuals with disabilities find the right technological fit to their own independence at work and at school.

Thank you, Farm Credit Canada (new window)!
