DESCRIPTION:In partnership with Communication Technology Education Center (CTEC) and Hacker Lab this event is to make various keyguards for a variety of users and people with disabilities. \nAugmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) device is an umbrella term that encompasses the communication methods used to supplement or replace speech or writing for those with impairments in the production or comprehension of spoken or written language. Often\, a keyguard is placed on top to help the user control their input and address mobility and agility issues in using the device. \nThis event is good for: \n\nDisability Professionals that want help making keyguards\nPeople with Disabilities that need a keyguard for their access needs\nMakers that can use a laser cutter and design programs\, that wish to give back to the community through using their maker skills.
