SUMMARY:Sensory Lending Library: Open House
DESCRIPTION:All military families are invited to join and connect with Military Family Services in the National Capital Region (MFS-NCR) team and each other in a sensory-friendly event supporting people with complex needs. \nThis open house event will be at the Uplands Military Community Centre located at 330 Croil Private\, from 9 am to noon on Friday\, February 3rd\, 2023\, and Saturday\, February 4th\, 2023. Neil Squire Central Region staff will be in attendance on Friday\, February 3rd. \nBoth days will include: \n\nOpportunities to learn about complex needs programs and services with community partners.\nA compassionate and supportive environment for children’s play date and sensory crafts.\nExploration of our new sensory items\, and an opportunity to sign up for our sensory lending library. We have over 100+ items available to be borrowed.\n\nThe Sensory Lending Library is opening its doors in February 2023 and is available to the military community\, for adults and children navigating complex needs. Items such as weighted items\, gross and fine motor aids\, auditory items\, and other assistive devices will be available.
