SUMMARY:Toy Adapting with New Brunswick Volunteers & Premier's Council on Disabilities
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to once again be partnering with New Brunswick’s Premier’s Council on Disabilities to host this great event. Makers Making Change will lead volunteers through adapting toys to make them more accessible for Makers Making Change’s Hacking for the Holidays campaign\, with toys being donated to children and families across New Brunswick and to the Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation. \nVolunteers will be provided with the toy\, tools and instructions at the event. \nNew this year\, we are also introducing a gift wrapping station! While there will be the option to have your gift wrapped in the traditional or usual way\, we will also be demonstrating accessible gift wrapping. This option allows for gifts to be wrapped with a string or ribbon attached\, so it can be easily pulled.
