SUMMARY:Toys Adapting with New Brunswick Medical Society
DESCRIPTION:Makers Making Change is excited to be hosted by New Brunswick’s Medical Society for a Toy Adapting workshop for our Hacking for the Holidays campaign! \nStaff will be given toys\, instructions\, parts and tools and walked through adapting a tool so it can be paired with an assistive switch\, making play more accessible. Staff will also learn about our Makers Making Change program\, the needs and cost of assistive technology and adapted toys\, and the need within the community. All toys adapted in this workshop will be donated locally to families and clinicians\, with many going to the Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation. \nWe thank New Brunswick Medical Society for contributing to Hacking for the Holidays!
