Nate has a long-standing background in Retail\, Wholesale and Business to Business sales and marketing activities. His talk will focus on a program that can benefit British Columbians with assessments\, training and adaptive or assistive technology solutions\, that range from lo-tech to hi-tech\, ergonomics\, hearing aids\, and visual aids. \nEveryday Accessibility – 3D Printing for Cost Reduction and Easy Access \nLearn about how\, with the help of volunteers and their Open Source digital library\, Makers Making Change distributes everyday accessibility devices to community members and occupational therapy clinics across Canada at low- or no-cost using 3D printed technology. From accessible switches and adapted toys to bottle openers and pen grips\, there are hundreds of devices available for people of all ages. \nKris Stirling is a longtime event specialist with a decade of experience across live event genres. She is passionate about community organization and lifelong learning\, which has taken her to all sorts of unexpected places and helped her collect an array of skills. His favourite pastimes are cooking\, skiing\, rock climbing and woodworking. When Robert was four years old\, he learned to adapt to a world without sight. \n“Never tell me something is impossible. DESCRIPTION:Description\nIn recognition of October being Disability Employment Awareness Month – DEAM\, we invite you for breakfast on October 7th as we discuss the Economics of Inclusion. \nJoin us for EmployABILITY Business Breakfast with special guest Mark Wafer! \nMark Wafer is a disability rights activist. Until recently he was the owner of six highly successful Tim Hortons locations in Toronto. During his 25 years in the business Mark employed over 200 workers with disabilities in all areas of the operation including senior management. At any given time approximately 17% of his workforce identified as having a disability. \nMark is an internationally recognized expert on the economics of inclusion. He is an advisor to governments around the world and is responsible for Canada’s national disability employment strategy. \nMark has received many awards and recognition for his work most notably from her majesty\, Queen Elizabeth II. He was inducted into the Canadian Disability Hall of Fame in 2014 \nMark is also a Motorsports enthusiast\, former race car driver and 2008 Canadian historic sports car champion.
