Offer Employment

Having a job is a basic right everyone has; unfortunately, people with disabilities are often marginalized when employment opportunities emerge due to a lack of understanding about their abilities and capacities.

People with disabilities can perform just as well as any other person when they are presented with a suitable opportunity and the right support.

The Neil Squire Society is offering employers the opportunity to experience the benefits of hiring someone with a disability through our Working Together Program. The Working Together Program provides employers with a wage subsidy for a minimum of six months, where employers can experience a positive business case and inclusive working environment.

There are many Canadians with disabilities who are not employed but who want to work. Most would be able to contribute more fully to the Canadian economy and become more self sufficient if they had some assistance in overcoming their barriers to employment. – Social Development Canada
