The Neil Squire Society Celebrates the UN Day of Persons With Disabilities

The South Saskatchewan Independent Living Centre (new window) and their community partners, which include the Neil Squire Society, will be celebrating the UN International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2010 (new window) on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at the Core Ritchie Neighbourhood Centre (new window), located at 445 14th Avenue in Regina.

This year’s theme for this year’s UN Day is “Celebrating Disability through the Arts”.  Join SSILC staff and community partners for a full day of activities including a panel discussion that explores the connection between disability and creativity, featuring artists Alan Shain (new window), David Roche (new window), Kevin MacKenzie (new window) and SSILC’s Artist in Residence Traci Foster (new window), followed by interactive workshops facilitated by the artists.

Lunch will be provided. Attendant care will be available for those who require supports.
