DESCRIPTION:ASPECT BC (Association of Service Providers for Employability and Career Training) is hosting their two day “Build Back Better” virtual conference featuring 26 sessions on Thursday\, November 4th and Friday\, November 5th. \nNeil Squire’s Nate Toevs and Gemma Pollock will be presenting a session on “Assistive Technology in the Office Environment” on Friday\, November 5th at 10:30 am. \nAssistive Technology in the Office Environment will provide an overview of assistive technology and ergonomics considerations to support individuals with a variety of barriers. Topics covered will include how employers\, job developers\, and case managers\, can work with experienced professionals to ensure client success with obtaining employment\, returning to work\, or preventing a need to take time off. Education regarding ergonomics positioning at a workstation and an overview on a variety of assistive technology products on the market will be covered. Interventions for individuals with chronic pain\, low vision\, hearing loss\, and cognitive challenges will be covered.
