The Need For Our Services is Growing Every Day:
- More than one out of every 10 Canadians has a physical disability (3,600,000)
- More than half of people with disabilities are capable of participating in the workplace if given a chance
- Our aging population means increasing numbers of people with some sort of physical disability
- Motor vehicle and sports accidents continue to cause injuries
- Government resources for social development are stretched
Our Programs Offer a Unique Combination of the Following:
- Effective utilization of adaptive technology to remove obstacles created by physical disabilities
- Understanding of the barriers and issues faced by clients
- End-to-end services – Individual self-paced programs and customized action plans that include building employment skills as well as boosting self-confidence and overall wellness
- Staff expertise, commitment and passion
- Research and development
- Support from the Society’s friends and partners is now essential to maintain the delivery of these vital programs and services.
