During National Volunteer Week (new window), Neil Squire Society’s Atlantic region staff took a moment to acknowledge Computer Comfort Volunteer, Donna. Donna, a former Employ-Ability participant, not only devotes hours of her time each week to helping others learn new computer skills, she was also instrumental in getting the Computer Comfort Program off the ground in the Atlantic region (new window). Additionally, through her work with Computers for Schools (new window), a group devoted to “helping learning organizations give Canadians a head start in the digital workplace,” Donna has been able to get a laptop computer and much needed computer software for two Computer Comfort participants. With her tireless commitment, she has taken the Computer Comfort Program and run with it! More importantly, she is making a real difference in other people’s lives.
