With help from funding by WorkBC Assistive Technology Services, Kimberley was able to purchase a new pair of hearing aids.
“I strongly believe cost should never be a barrier to anyone who needs AT. Our Edmonton MMC chapter hopes to raise awareness of AT needs and enhance the quality of life for people living with disabilities every day.”
Over the last few years, the Movement Centre is one of several organizations in Winnipeg that Makers Making Change has partnered with to provide low cost assistive technology to people with disabilities.
Douglas works as a support worker at a treatment centre in Chilliwack. He has hearing loss and it was making it hard to do his job.
