Government of Nova Scotia Switch Build
Maker Making Change’s Atlantic Regional Coordinator, Courtney Cameron will be leading a special switch build for the Public Service Department with the Government of Nova Scotia in Halifax! The event will take place on Sept 17th between 1-3pm. Participants will build X access switches – the XX and the XX – from the Makers Making Change project library. Since 2017, Neil Squire Society’s Makers Making Change Program has worked closely with TELUS in providing a number of hands on STEM event for their employees as part of the TELUS Days of Giving program. The first two years, the events were focused as day long build events of the LipSync. Makers Making Change will be working with University of Manitoba and their Go Eng Girls event. It is an annual opportunity for girls in grades 7-9 to visit the University of Manitoba and dip their toes into engineering. Participants will be grouped with current female undergraduate engineering students for a fun and hands-on engineering build activity. A group of 40 girls from Grades 7-9 will get the chance to make a LipSync, from the Makers Making Change project library. Lunch…
