Switch Build and Toy Hack at Jeanne-Sauvé Elementary School
Makers Making Change is partnering with Jeanne-Sauvé Elementary School to host a switch build and toy hack. Individuals will learn about the Makers Making Change program and build switches and adapt a toy to make it accessible. All toys and switches will be donated to local community groups.

On January 14, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm PST, the University of Victoria’s Biomedical Engineering Student Design Team will be building switches for people with disabilities. Participants will build assistive devices including the Interact Switch. Tools will be provided on-site.

In collaboration with STEAMPEI, Makers Making Change will host an event where attendees can learn more about assistive technology and devices and the Makers Making Change program while also learning hands on making skills that include soldering and 3d printing.

Sensory Lending Library: Open House
This open house event will be at the Uplands Military Community Centre located at 330 Croil Private, from 9 am to noon on Friday, February 3rd, 2023, and Saturday, February 4th, 2023. Neil Squire Central Region staff will be in attendance on Friday, February 3rd.
