On March 12th, Makers Making Change was at the BC Tech Summit (opens in a new window)’s Youth Innovation Day, building assistive switches with the help of Microsoft staff and youth volunteers.
Jeff is an avid volunteer. He wanted to access Spinal Cord Injury BC’s Virtual Peer Group events. However, ergonomic issues made it difficult for him to participate.
“About three years ago, I lost my eye,” says Ben. “It was my good eye. That’s what prompted me to not do any more work. I’ve had a visual impairment most of my life, but it got worse.”
