“I do a lot of phone calls because of my work, and it was difficult to communicate, hear, and understand what people were saying,” Mathilda explains.

“I had almost no hearing in one ear, and limited hearing in my other, which made it difficult for my work, as well as safety,” Gregory shares. “I need to hear my dispatch throughout the day, and what each mill I go into tells me where to go, and what is going on.”
“I work long hours when I am teaching workshops,” Linda says. “I am much less stressed and fatigued when working with groups.”
Tania-Lynn has been taking courses to upgrade her skills and achieve her career goals, while also working in retail. However, she was having difficulties hearing during her studies and while working.
“The Assistive Technology Services program has positively impacted my life,” Laura says. “These accommodations have significantly improved my ability to work collaboratively with my team and attend regular meetings. Without them, I would face communication barriers that could hinder my work.”
