Julie lives with Retinitis Pigmentosa, meaning she experiences near complete blindness, but this doesn’t stop her from living life to the fullest and achieving her goals. With certificates in Customer Service and Human Services, Julie had the skills necessary to rejoin the workforce, but her confidence had decreased since she hadn’t worked in seven years.

In 2013, Lorne suffered a fall which resulted in a broken back and severe brain trauma. The Neil Squire Society’s Computer Comfort program helped him re-learn how to use a computer and now he gives back to others.
John entered the Neil Squire Society’s Employ-Ability Program (now known as the Working Together Program) without a clear idea of what type of career he should pursue.
