Our Regional Director, Cheryl Colmer, was pleased to attend a United Nations International Day of Persons with Disabilities (new window) reception in Ottawa yesterday, hosted by The Honourable Patty Hajdu (new window).

This was an opportunity to come together and celebrate Canada’s work in advancing accessibility in Canada through the Disability Inclusion Action Plan (new window) and other key initiatives as we progress towards a barrier-free Canada by 2040.

The Honourable Patty Hajdu is the Minister of Jobs and Families and Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Northern Ontario.
