Your support helps people with disabilities like Bluejay. We provided Bluejay with a “safe place to learn and to grow confidence to achieve goals” and supported him as he went back to school, graduated grade 12, and got a job. “I didn’t realize until I started working that I’m a hard worker.”
Bluejay first came to the Footprints Centre about 10 years ago, pushed by his older brother to find something to do with his life. Since then, he’s grown so much, going to the local college to finish his high school degree and has been a valued employee at his company for over four years.
Teaching math in a way that’s engaging and relatable can be a real challenge. The website that we are looking at today presents math concepts in a way that students can connect with on a personal, social, and global level.
