Carol learned about the Neil Squire Society’s Job Focus program through the Chronic Conditions/Pain Management program offered in Burnaby through the University of Victoria (new window). Carol has multiple medical conditions, including Fibromyalgia (new window), Diabetes (new window), Gout (new window) and mild Asthma (new window). Due to pain issues, Carol has not been able to work since 1995. With one-on-one help from the Neil Squire Society’s Job Focus Employment Specialist, Carol secured volunteer work as a Front Desk Clerk at 411 Senior Centre (new window). Carol’s goal is to gain work experience and references through this volunteer position and then eventually secure related part-time paid employment.
