Jamie is a sales professional based in Kelowna. It’s a job that requires him to be focused in conversations with clients and staff, something that was becoming hard to do with his hearing loss.
“Assistive Technology Services helped me to get a full time job,” Hao beams. Before landing this job, however, he was pounding the pavement looking for work, and he faced a significant barrier due to hearing loss.
“People learn in different ways. They matched me with a very interesting person, who was very much in tune to how I learned and how to help me.”
