Josh, who is a T11 complete paraplegic, was looking for a traditional work environment after retiring from professional skiing. Through Working Together, he secured a position where he can use his coaching skills.
For the past six years, Marco has been running his own business as a motivational speaker. Last year, he began a contract as an Accessibility and Inclusion Consultant with the Presidents Group, a network of business leaders focused on increasing employment for persons with disabilities across British Columbia.
Albert has been working as a software engineer and developer since 2010. “I am self-employed, but I work with this company right now on contract. The company does music and digital media distribution.”
Anna is a Grade 11 student who is extremely involved in her community. She has been diagnosed with Down syndrome. Anna approached the Neil Squire Society because she wanted to work and had no prior experience.
After a stroke two years ago, Séan was partially paralyzed on his left side and began using a wheelchair. He landed a job with the help of the Solutions for Employment program, and now he feels more prepared for the future.
