Giving Tuesday

November 30, 2021

As the pandemic continues on, so does the need for our work. Our programs remain critical for Canadians with disabilities – an already marginalized and high-risk group – particularly for those in rural communities, indigenous communities, and areas with low technology infrastructure.

Together we give

We teach some of the most vulnerable people in our society, particularly those in remote and hard to access communities, how to use computers and other digital devices. We provide them with training and job search support so they may be more active in their communities.

We are the first organization in Canada to revolutionize how people collaborate on the development of technology by leveraging community-based makers, disability professionals and volunteers to develop and deliver affordable Open Source Assistive Technologies.

On December 3rd, UN International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we will be raising awareness of the need for affordable assistive technology solutions for people with disabilities by attempting to claim the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDSTM title for the most users to take an online DIY assistive technology lesson in 24 hours. Please visit our website atworldrecord.com (new window) to learn more about this exciting event.

The support of our generous donors enables access to life-changing technology and knowledge, and helps to ensure a productive society that includes people with disabilities.

This #GivingTuesday, please consider donating to Neil Squire to support our work in the areas of Innovation, Digital Literacy, Employment, and Assistive Technology.
