Maricel’s Hope Becomes A Reality

September 10, 2010

Fob Focus participant, MaricelMaricel came to the Neil Squire Society’s Job Focus Program with the hope of finding employment as a bookkeeper. She has rheumatoid arthritis which affects her ability to stand and use her hands. That is now under control with medication. She has a degree in computer science from the Philippines, and had taken some bookkeeping courses sponsored by the Job Focus Program. Upon completion, she took a clerical position at Award Prosthetics (new window) then, with the help of the Job Focus Employment Specialist, she landed a job in the Accounts Payable Department of Dick’s Lumber (new window).

Congratulations, Maricel!
