Garry Bartsch is an inventor like his father before him. “That’s in my blood, I guess. I’ve always liked drawing things, and I’ve always liked designing things, and it’s been a hobby — it’s enjoyable, but it’s also useful to me.”
As a C5-C6 quadriplegic, 3D printing gives Garry an avenue to create.
Fisayo works with a non-profit organization that promotes inclusion and assists immigrants. “I am paraplegic which means I have mobility challenges, and need a functional and light wheelchair to get around at work,” she explains.
Thanks to our partners at the New Brunswick Premier’s Council on Disabilities and National AccessAbility Week, Makers Making Change held a number successful builds in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
Jaycee is a talented musician playing with the Vancouver Adapted Music Society. Music played a big part in her recovery from surgery to remove a brain tumour.
