Brian is legally blind, having very limited vision. While working on a couple projects that required him to spend a lot of time on the computer, he noticed that his old computer wasn’t up to the task. And the long hours spent on the computer were causing him pain, in part because of the strain with his limited vision.
“My new hearing aids allow me to hear conversations accurately and discern emotions clearly,” Steve explains. “With clear and concise hearing, I am able to help all my young clients fully. My co-workers also appreciate not having to repeat themselves in our conversations.”
Kim’s hearing aids weren’t working too well, but she couldn’t afford new ones. When she told her audiologist that she would have to “make do” with the old ones, her audiologist referred her to WorkBC Assistive Technology Services for support.
Language Therapy is a 4-in-1 app that provides users with an array of language-based therapies. The activities are customizable, giving you the ability to add your own words, pictures, sounds, or prompts.
With the help of new hearing aids received through WorkBC Assistive Technology Services, Carolina says she has found her “perfect job.”
