When Sam joined the Employ-Ability Program (now known as the Working Together Program) she had no road map for where she wanted to go. Sam, who has Asperger Syndrome and experiences anxiety and depression, had very clear ideas, but wasn’t sure how to get there.
Veronique, who lives in Fredericton, New Brunswick, has lived with cerebral palsy her whole life. In 2013, while she was studying to be a Civil Technician, Veronique’s life changed dramatically when her mother passed away.
On June 5, 2015 the Neil Squire Society participated in Walk and Roll, a New Brunswick-wide event to show support for persons with disabilities. At the event, one of our employees, Kailha, shared her story of overcoming barriers to education as a student with a Learning Disability.
