The Province of BC announced today that the BC Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Community Services Network will receive funding of $3 million over three years.
“For the first time since my accident, I felt completely welcome, accepted, and even understood.”
Through Digital Jumpstart, Taylor received equipment including a computer, mouse, and keyboard, and received training in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Power Point. Working with Neil Squire staff on their job search, Taylor was hired by the Disability Foundation, a role that helped Taylor find confidence in their abilities.
“After just one month, they had a series of jobs for me to choose from, and I got hired with the Disability Foundation in September 2020,” Sheryl says of participating in the Working Together program.
