When his school year ended, Noah wanted to find a summer job. However, he knew he needed a job that wouldn’t worsen the pain he feels due to flat feet, which makes standing or walking for long periods of time difficult. He decided to join our Creative Employment Options program.
Dougie has had low vision since birth, with 20/300 vision acuity. Last August, Dougie left his corporate job of 15 years, in part because he found it difficult to get the workplace accommodations he needed. While he was able to do some part-time work for a non-profit that he had volunteered with, he was having difficulty finding full-time employment.
Connecting with Neil Squire’s Creative Employment Options program was a turning point for Conner. With one-on-one support, he refined his job search strategy, tailored his cover letters for each position, and practiced interview techniques.
For the past three years, the Pine Cone Motel and Trailer Park in Penobsquis, New Brunswick has been a great partner for our Creative Employment Options program, providing invaluable opportunities for our participants to gain practical experience.
