Nathan is the Senior Communications Coordinator for the BC Wheelchair Sports Association (BCWSA). His job involves managing their websites and social media, planning and executing marketing campaigns around large sporting events, and working on fundraising and awareness campaigns. And the world of adaptive sports isn’t just a job for Nathan, he’s an active participant in a variety of sports himself.
Our team was recently featured on Speak Up, Listen Up, Act Upon on CJSF 90.1 FM, hosted by Charlotte “Sista C” Ferrell. Charlotte is a participant of our Computer Comfort program.
“It has been probably 10 years since I really had to use the computer for work or anything like that,” William says.
When Lisa was 23, she was in car accident that left her a C6, C7 incomplete quadriplegic. She has been using a wheelchair ever since. Now having just turned 60, she’s raised two grown kids with her “wonderful husband,” and has since re-gained the strength to drive and do most of the cooking and cleaning in her house. Lisa loves her life.
