We’d like to give a big welcome to one of the newest Makers Making Change chapters, the Center for Assistive Technology and Communication Hawaii (CATCH).
“We brainstormed what my needs were and what I’d like to try out. And the beauty of this is I can try things out without breaking the bank,” Sarah says. “Living on a pension limits my ability to experiment with expensive things.”
“I have been provided with a tool so that I do not have to ask someone every single day so I can have my tea or water,” Marie says. “It may seem like a small thing, but it’s a huge gift. You won’t understand until you need it.”
This year, the GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre joined Makers Making Change’s network of GAME Checkpoints, helping people with disabilities access Adaptive Gaming.
