Volunteers make the work that we do possible. This National Volunteer Week, we want to celebrate all of the volunteers that give their time and skills to make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities.
The Neil Squire Society, a non-profit organization and Canadian leader in assistive technology, is celebrating the delivery of over 27,000 assistive devices to persons with disabilities through their Makers Making Change program.
Last September, Abdullah joined his brother, Hamza, a Clubs That Care youth leader for Neil Squire’s Makers Making Change program, to deliver adapted toys to the Alvin Buckwold Child Development Program in Saskatoon. The experience made a real impact on him.
One of our newest additions to the Makers Making Change device library is the Chatterbox, an auditory switch-scanning augmented and alternative communication (AAC) device.
