Due to chronic pain through palindromic arthritis, Chantelle had to resign from her role at the John Rudy Health Resource Centre Association. With the help of Working Together, the Association was able to hire Chantelle on a part-time basis.
Josh, who is a T11 complete paraplegic, was looking for a traditional work environment after retiring from professional skiing. Through Working Together, he secured a position where he can use his coaching skills.
Mirjana, who has albinism, was hired to work full-time at Maple Roch after her wage subsidy came to an end. Now she is an integral part of the organization. In addition, her volunteer work in her community recently bagged her some awards.
“This is really the first job I have had where I am sitting this much,” Jodi says, explaining that she was experiencing back pain and migraines. She had tried a standing desk converter that was shared around the office, and while it worked, she needed a permanent solution. That’s when she called Technology@Work.
