It was an incredible year for Makers Making Change. Over the course of the year, we hosted and participated in 164 events, we delivered 2,382 devices to people with disabilities, engaged 3,242 volunteers, and our #HackingForTheHolidays campaign was a huge success.
The University of Lethbridge Agility program hosted two events in partnership with Makers Making Change, as part of their Youth Making Change initiative.
Every year, McInnes Cooper hosts a volunteer event for incoming law students at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University. This year, they tried something a little different than usual, partnering with Makers Making Change to hold a build event, with the adapted toys going to children with disabilities at the IWK Children’s Hospital.
As part of our Youth Making Change initiative, we’ve welcomed aboard many new members to our team to help us out with engineering and community outreach.
On Saturday, October 15th, we were pleased to partner with Brampton Library to host a Youth Making Change family build event at their Springdale Branch.
