It’s that time of year again, the introduction of the 2013 Canadian Federal Budget. A significant portion of the budget is on promoting skills development for persons with disabilities in the work force.
Society has placed a label on individuals with a disability. This label has restricted specific individuals in many ways, but the issue that is being largely recognized today is that organizations shy away from hiring people with disabilities.
Professionals from the Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education Owerri Imo State, Nigeria, Africa, came to visit the Neil Squire Society.
Neil Squire Society, Spinal Cord Injury BC, The Disability Foundation, BC Wheelchair Sports, and the BC Wheelchair Basketball Society participated in the unveiling of the new ‘Doug Mowat ramp’ at British Columbia’s Parliament buildings in Victoria.
