We’re excited to announce our first annual Holiday Hackathon at The Amazing Brentwood in Burnaby, BC. As part of this year’s Hacking for the Holidays campaign, on Friday, November 22nd, we’re going to switch adapt 250 toys to donate to kids with disabilities in Canada. And we need your help to do it!
As we headed into our 40th year, we were named the Burnaby not-for-profit of the year. Our Makers Making Change program built its 10,000th assistive device. And once again, we served a record-breaking number of participants — 12,493 persons with disabilities from April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024. Over the course of 40 years, Neil Squire has served over 87,000 persons with disabilities.
September 30th is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a day in which we honour the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities.
In celebration of BC Disability Employment Month, our Penticton office at the Footprints Centre, a partnership between Neil Squire and the Penticton Indian Band, held a service provider meeting and open house.
