Deborah works at an airport. “Accurate hearing is imperative in performing my duties,” she shares. “I am affected by age-related mild to moderate hearing loss which was affecting my ability to function as well as is needed in my day-to-day duties at work.”
In Adapta3D, the students put together a catalogue of Makers Making Change assistive technology designs, and then take orders from students and staff — including occupational therapists and other clinicians — at the school, before building the devices and delivering them.
Gabriel is self-employed in the tech field. He works in an office and needs to wear leg orthoses for moving around in the office space, as well as to and from work.
With the help of a wage subsidy through our Creative Employment Options program, Grizzly Spring Waters have recently hired two youth with disabilities — River and Brody.
