CTV Saskatoon Features Clubs That Care Leader Nicolas’ Work in His Community

CTV Saskatoon recently did a great feature on Nicolas, one of our Makers Making Change (new window) program’s Clubs That Care (new window) leaders, and the great work he is doing to provide assistive technology to his community.

Nicolas was a computer science student at the University of Saskatchewan, having completed three years. A car crash in 2020 left him with a brain injury and limited use of his right side. Today, he uses his 3D printer and his skills to make devices for people with disabilities.

“I’ve always been interested in technology, and this is perfect because it allows me to use both my soldering [skills] and also I can use my software expertise,” Nicolas shares, noting that he is also working on his own design for an adaptive keyboard that could be used for gaming.
