On This Giving Tuesday We Want to Thank You for All Your Support
In a time of immense pressure and uncertainly, the work of the Neil Squire Society has remained constant.
The global pandemic has impacted communities across Canada, including the thousands of people we serve. It is clear, now more than ever, how critical our programming is for Canadians with disabilities – an already marginalized and high risk group – particularly for those in rural communities, indigenous communities, and areas with low technology infrastructure.
We are helping to ensure people with disabilities are connected while we all focus on being physically distanced, and we are helping our participants gain employment at a time when so many are facing unemployment.

We couldn’t do what we do without your support.
Throughout the month of December, your gift will be multiplied up to five times to increase its impact on the lives of Canadians with disabilities. For example, a $100 donation will result in $500 in support of Neil Squire programs. Your gift will support our work in the areas of Innovation, Digital Literacy, Employment, and Assistive Technology.
With your support, we’ve helped: Tanner land a job during COVID-19, Solange upgrade her computer skills and work towards opening her own business, Michelle gain independence through assistive devices, and Kathleen find a supportive employer.
“I feel I have been given a lot more tools that will help me in all aspects of work — from finding jobs I may be interested in, to applying, to eventually being hired. The biggest thing I’ve gotten out of working with Neil Squire, though, is the confidence boost that comes with finding employment in the midst of a worldwide pandemic.” – Tanner
“I cannot thank enough these strangers who saw my request and made it. I’m a disability advocate, and I think that disabled people are incredibly practical and creative when they need to come up with solutions to accessibility needs. It’s so wonderful to look at the plethora of solutions on the Makers Making Change website, and know that they are making huge differences in disabled people’s lives.” – Michelle
