Lindsey’s Newfound Confidence Pays Off With a New Job

November 27, 2025

A person uses a laptop.Lindsey was diagnosed with anxiety and depression in 2021. She was finding it hard to communicate, especially with new people to the point where she avoided being around people whenever possible. She also has ADHD, which makes it hard for her to stay focused and she gets distracted easily.

When Lindsey joined our Creative Employment Options program, she worked one-on-one with a Job Developer that moved at her pace and assisted her with updating her resume and developing cover letters for jobs she was interested in.

Her Job Developer helped Lindsey explore jobs that could be interesting to her, and gave her various opportunities to practice interview questions in front of new people. By doing this, she gained confidence taking on interviews and applying for jobs independently.

With her newfound confidence, Lindsey was able to land a role as a case worker with a local non-profit, in a role where she knows she will be making a meaningful impact with at-risk youth in Regina.
