National Operations Manager Greg Pyc Advises on Digital Media Literacy Report

In February 2022, MediaSmarts (new window) – in partnership with Digital Public Square (new window) – hosted a symposium that brought together key stakeholders and community partners from across Canada who share an interest in developing and implementing a national digital media literacy strategy.

The panel helped everyone settle into the symposium and reminded attendees of why they were invited: to lay the groundwork for developing a national digital media literacy strategy in Canada.

Along with the other panelists, Pyc highlighted the efforts of Neil Squire and spoke to the challenges and needs he sees in his work. The panel helped set the tone for all attendees to reflect on and speak to throughout the breakout sessions that followed.
