“I experience functional limitations that affect my concentration, energy, and ability to complete tasks efficiently for long periods,” she shares. “This impacts my job search and training, and I require assistive tools to support learning, organization, and productivity.”

Her WorkBC employment counsellor referred her to WorkBC Assistive Technology Services for help funding the hearing aids she needs for the job search and her future employment.

“The Assistive Technology Services program supported me by providing hearing assistive devices,” she explains. “These devices help me hear instructions, online training content, and conversations more clearly during my training and job search.”

Reham says she recommends WorkBC Assistive Technology Services to others in need.

“The hearing devices improved my ability to listen, understand instructions, and participate in training sessions. This has helped me focus better and complete my tasks more effectively,” she shares.

“Since receiving the hearing assistive devices, I have been able to continue my training, prepare for my practicum, and actively search for employment with increased confidence and independence.”

WorkBC Assistive Technology Services is operated by Neil Squire. Assistive Technology Services are available to individuals who have a work-related barrier due to a disability or a functional limitation. This may include barriers related to traveling to and from the workplace.
