WorkBC Assistive Technology Services “Has Changed My Life”

Alejandro works multiple jobs. He sells countertops as an account manager, works in the cleaning business in the evenings, and he works on-call as a waiter and bartender. However, he was recently diagnosed with otosclerosis, causing severe to profound hearing loss in both ears, making it difficult to communicate with customers and co-workers.

“I can honestly say I would not be able to work as efficiently as I can now without the LipSync. I haven’t found anything that works even close to the LipSync, allowing me to not only work, but connect with my peers and community virtually,” Ean says.

Jo-Ann Performs Better at Work With New Hearing Aids

“I perform better [at work],” Jo-Ann explains. “These hearing aids have helped me tremendously in my career. I no longer have to ask students and colleagues to repeat their words or sit closer to the speaker in meetings. Students are able to speak to me in confidential tones, and I catch specific speech nuances in the playground before a mood shift occurs.”
