It was another incredible year for Makers Making Change. In all, we delivered 4,349 devices to persons with disabilities, hosted and participated in 291 events, and engaged 9,225 volunteers — 5,768 of them youth, who learned valuable STEM skills while making a difference in their community.
Thanks to your support, we have hosted 84 events, engaging over 2,600 volunteers to adapt 2,058 toys and switches for kids with disabilities across Canada.
On December 3rd, approximately 100 volunteers joined us for our annual International Day of Persons with Disabilities build event in Fredericton hosted in partnership with the New Brunswick’s Premier’s Council on Disabilities.
On November 23rd, 22 volunteers braved the snow for our first Hacking for the Holidays build event in Cranbrook, BC.
