In December, 350 students at West Bedford School in Bedford, Nova Scotia worked together to adapt over 60 toys and build 200 switches for children with disabilities.
Connecting with Neil Squire’s Creative Employment Options program was a turning point for Conner. With one-on-one support, he refined his job search strategy, tailored his cover letters for each position, and practiced interview techniques.
Thanks to your support, we have hosted 84 events, engaging over 2,600 volunteers to adapt 2,058 toys and switches for kids with disabilities across Canada.
“It was a big step for me to accept a chance to try working. With this program I really learned to take a chance and try new things and feel confident about myself,” Teri says.
