Recently, the Creation Nation Maker Space has joined as a Makers Making Change chapter, playing a big part in Neil Squire’s #HackingForTheHolidays campaign, adapting toys for children with disabilities in the community.
On October 10th, student teachers from the University of Saskatchewan worked together to build Rocker Switches for our #HackingForTheHolidays campaign.
To kick off #HackingForTheHolidays 2023, we partnered with HSBC Bank Canada to host a build event on September 18th. HSBC Bank Canada employees from Toronto and Vancouver volunteered their time to adapt 35 toys that will be donated to local hospitals and kids with disabilities.
Former Computer Comfort volunteer and longtime friend of the Society, Phiroze (Phil) Reporter, was featured in What’s On Burnaby, noting that he has served over 2,500 hours as volunteer with Burnaby Hospital over the past 15 years.
