All-Round Support Changes Steven’s Life
When he was 18 months old, Steven was diagnosed with significant hearing loss. At the age of 14, he moved from Vietnam to Canada. Prior to his move, he had no experience with the English language.

“Since starting the program, I am working 50 hours every two weeks,” beams Kathleen. “I still get to hang out with my friends and family after work and do all of my regular duties.”
Birk is a Product Design student at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. This summer, he is working with Neil Squire’s Makers Making Change program on a number of projects.
Kaige is a youth Working Together participant who recently earned his high school diploma. Prior to graduation, his teacher recommended he join Neil Squire to benefit from the job development programming.
“In my family, it was expected that you use your time and resources to help others. The thing I really love about Makers Making Change is it allows people to use and develop skills to help others.”
