William works as an auxiliary employee for a city-owned golf course, working as a golf marshal, ensuring golfers keep up with the pace of play.

Golf cart parked on a paved path next to a grassy golf course under a partly cloudy sky.“I have impaired hearing that makes verbal communication stressful when dealing with customers and other employees,” he shares.

His hearing clinic referred him to WorkBC Assistive Technology Services for help getting the hearing aids he needs for work. He applied, and in no time, received funding for a set of hearing aids.

“[My] stress headaches have disappeared,” he explains. “I can now be assured that what I hear is accurate, without asking a colleague or a customer to repeat themselves.

“I would definitely recommend the WorkBC Assistive Technology Services program through the Neil Squire Society to anyone who needs hearing aids. The two Neil Squire representatives who managed my case file were professional and thorough.”

WorkBC Assistive Technology Services is operated by Neil Squire. Assistive Technology Services are available to individuals who have a work-related barrier due to a disability or a functional limitation. This may include barriers related to traveling to and from the workplace.
