In Atlantic Canada, our Workplace Ergonomic and Assistive technology specialist, Nadine Melanson, took part in WorkSafeNB (new window) safety day by making presentations to grade 4 and 5 students from 8 to 10 elementary schools.
Nadine spoke to the students about disability awareness, assistive technology, and ergonomics. She taught them how to apply ergonomics at school or in sports, the proper use of book bags and weight, and the proper use of laptop and iPads. Nadine also showed the students some stretches.
We were thrilled to able to take part in WorkSafeNB safety day and we hope the kids had as much fun as we did!
